A Vincent Chin TV series

(in development)

Since 2015, I’ve been researching and developing a narrative TV series based on the Vincent Chin movement/case during the 80’s. Along w/ my producing partner Alle Hsu, we flew to Detroit 3 different times, conducted in-person interviews with 30+ key historical individuals and sifted through collections of articles, archives and trial transcripts. We plan to expand the general knowledge and reveal lesser known details on this highly robust and complex story through a narrative TV series based on the pivotal Vincent Chin legacy.

Elevator (2015)

Feature; Drama/Sci-Fi

A lighthearted drama with a smidge of sci-fi about family, faith and second chances. The feature film follows Naomi, a brokenhearted pregnant woman, and Vito, a young criminal, who get stuck in adjacent elevators and share a conversation that may alter their realities.

*Honorable Mention for Best Screenwriting at the DisOrient Asian American Film Festival

A Look Behind-The-Scenes

At the time this was the biggest film I’ve made in terms of scale and the many logistics we encountered within the process of making it.

From building two elevator sets with our own hands, traveling to New York and Japan to film pivotal scenes and our very first time working with SAG actors. Take a look into the emotional roller-coaster ride that was needed to complete this super indie low budget feature.
